SABI SABI

Private Game Reserve
Deep in the African bushveld, within South Africa’s famous Sabi Sand Reserve, ‘something enchanting lies in wait’ – the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve.

Since 1979, Sabi Sabi has evolved, protected and respected the wilderness in its care, and emerged to become the icon it is today, a “luxury home in the bush” in the heart of the African bushveld offering luxury at each of its four, 5-star lodges.

Situated in the Sabie Game Reserve, a recognised hotspot of biodiversity within the greater Kruger National Park, Sabi Sabi is blessed with a wide variety of habitat and wildlife. The abundant animals and extraordinary variety of birds exist in this unfenced natural environment, as they have done for centuries. Exciting morning and evening safaris are led by experienced rangers and Shangaan trackers.

Within this untamed setting, Sabi Sabi has created its lodges in the design styles of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, with each lodge being a holistic experience encompassing close encounter exclusive safaris, luxurious accommodation, a dining experience attesting to our authentic South African hospitality.

Selati Camp represents “Yesterday” as a tribute to the adventurers of the early day safari of the late 1800’s, with its classic experience filled with history.  Seven beautifully appointed suites, including the Ivory Presidential Suite, are filled with authentic antiques, vintage décor and safari memorabilia - offering intimacy and romance with a dash of nostalgic opulence.

The “Today” experience is found at family friendly Bush Lodge, with its contemporary safari style being a vibrant and eclectic mix of furnishings and décor garnered from all corners of the African continent. Accommodating only 25 couples, the lodge has earned a reputation of warmth, service excellence and personalised attention.

Little Bush Camp is a celebration of Today and Tomorrow and exudes consummate African hospitality. The lodge is intimate, just 6 ultra-luxury suites, epitomising “African Adornment” and imbued with décor from our diverse continent, making this unique lodge an ideal retreat for small groups seeking an idyllic hideaway.

Earth Lodge, the Sabi Sabi of Tomorrow, is a celebration of ecological responsibility. Sculpted into a slope of the earth, the lodge merges so well into the surrounding bushveld that it is virtually invisible. From the unexpected arrival via a concealed pathway to the dramatic entrance, a vast foyer with a huge sweep of semi-circular ceiling framed by waterfalls gently tumbling from the roof into a central rock pool - to the perfect proportions and gracefully curved walls with textures and hues borrowed from nature – everything here is designed to instil a sense of peace. Each of the 13 suites continuously meets and exceeds the highest international standards of architectural design and innovative décor. While maintaining a deep respect and bond with the wilderness.
